My name is David Oates, I am the Head Researcher at Relative Connections, you can view my LinkedIn by clicking here. I am also the director of the adoption support agency which is regulated by Ofsted.
I didn’t get chance to do a blog post last week for two reasons.
Firstly I was flat out busy all week, what with the TV work as well as been a busy week with new cases I didn’t have time to stop for a second. My team and I were working incredibly hard all week and I’d like to thank Jade, James and Jake for their hard work and effort at the moment because we’re starting to get the rewards now for our hard earned reputation as the UK’s leading people tracing service.
Secondly I had a day off last Friday, we had a family occasion to celebrate so we travelled down to Norfolk from Leeds and spent a couple lovely days with our extended family.
The sea at Heacham Beach last Friday…
The weather wasn’t great and the sea was rough when we went for a walk on the beach but we still had a great time.
Whilst I was down in Norfolk I realised that I hadn’t done my weekly blog post and I was annoyed with myself. It was a good time to reflect on the blog posts that we have done this year.
We really built up a head of steam with them for a while, we were showcasing our customer’s stories each Friday and people were really enjoying them and seeing that we were incredibly serious in our efforts to be the best, most well-known and respected people tracing company in the UK.
The thing that surprised us was we only had to showcase these stories for all of two months and a TV production company comes along, reads them and then uses some of them in a new TV show, they’ve also filmed me talking about the stories and Ryan our director too. This is amazing for us and again is another string in our bow towards becoming the most trusted people tracing company but it caused me a problem (a good problem though!).
All the good stories we were using for the blog have now been syphoned off for TV, that’s great news for us but not such great news for the blog each week. What can I write about? What should I tell you about? What would you like to know about? Would you like help with anything or advice on how you should proceed with something? Whatever you want to know I want to help you.
Just drop me an email at email@example.com and use Dave’s Help as the subject line of the email (this will ensure that it gets to me) and I’ll be happy to either use you suggestion as a blog post or if it’s more appropriate I’ll reply privately.
We want to make Relative Connections a one stop shop for anyone in the UK who is looking for someone they have lost touch with, at the moment we only have our service which isn’t right for everyone. So please get back to me, I’d love to hear from you and you never know, I might just be able to help.
