Last week BBC Radio 5 Live contacted us and invited us down to their studios in Leeds to talk live on their Drive time radio show about the amazing work we do here at Relative Connections to reunite lost family members and old friends.
This was great opportunity to explain to all of their listeners the impact finding people can have after reuniting over 15,000 people since 2007. Finding people is something that’s really dear too everyone who works here at Relative Connections and really pulls on your hearts emotions. The work we do is really rewarding and important to us all.
Kevin and Angela’s story is very powerful and really epitomises the meaningfulness of the work we do at Relative Connections. Both of them were happy to come on the radio and talk about their story with the listeners sharing how it feels to be reunited with each other. Also explaining how it felt to not be in touch with each other and the positives which came out of it.
We recorded our experience at BBC Radio Leeds and produced a small video for you to watch below.
